I purchased a CS3.1 to replace a 10-year old Octane XR4Ci elliptical that broke suddenly. The CS3.1 is an excellent piece of equipment. It is very very quiet. The stepper motion is smooth and silent. The seat height and seat back reclining adjustments are smooth, solid and precise. The overall build quality is excellent. The computer console display is outstanding with bright white data on a blue LCD background. The Bluetooth radio connected rapidly and smoothly with my Bluetooth HR chest strap and gave continuous accurate HR readouts on the display. The arrangement of data on the display is clear and logical with no crazy scrolling led’s. Meanly criticism of the CS3.1 is that the manual on this website is for the CS3 and the computer console of the CS3.1 is entirely different much of the “facts” in the CS3 manual ae just flat wrong for the CS3.1. The customer should be able to expect a $2700 piece of equipment to have an accurate manual. I was able to fid a dual language (German/English

I purchased the CS3.1 cardiostrider to replace a 10-year old Octane XR4 elliptical that suddenly failed. The CS3.1 is well built with smooth and precise seat height and seat back adjustments. The CS3.1 is quiet and smooth in operation. The LCD display is bright, easily read, and has a logical informative layout. The overall build quality of the CS3.1 is excellent. The computer console of the 3.1 has extensive programmable options. Unfortunately the manual available on this website is for the CS3 which is quite different from the 3.1. I found a dual language German/English manual on a Swiss website which allowed me to set up and properly use the computer on the CS3.1. A customer purchasing a $2700 piece of equipment should expect to receive the proper manual. Overall the CS 3.1 is an excellent machine and is very reasonably priced compared to similar ellipticals.
